In 2019/2020, the 205th season will be celebrated with an eminent festive programme, subscription concerts, Philharmonic Soirées with a Jazz Lounge and events for children and youth. With its annual Concerts for Human Rights, the Styrian Music Society sets an example of the responsibility of art and culture for the values of a humanistically oriented society. Concerts are held in the Graz Congress building in the Stefanien Hall and the Chamber Music Hall, which are among the most beautiful and acoustically excellent historic concert halls in the world. Famous honorary members such as Franz Schubert, Ludwig van Beethoven, Alfred Brendel, Elīna Garanča, Adam Fischer, Krzysztof Penderecki, Thomas Quasthoff and Rudolf Buchbinder attest to the international significance of the society. The book Im Jahrestakt was published in 2015 for the 200th anniversary of the society, and is available for purchase at the ticket office.
